Content Hub
Content Hub
Section titled “Content Hub”The Content Hub is your single destination for managing every content source connected to your displays. Rather than hunting through menus, everything is organized into six tabs by content category.
| Tab | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Hub | Home screen — AI chat, content type picker, and your full content library |
| Events | Calendar and event feed sources |
| Tasks | To-do list and checklist sources |
| Workforce | Employee schedule sources |
| Assets | All uploaded and connected files — images, video, documents, presentations, spreadsheets |
| Alerts | Emergency alerts broadcast to displays |
The Hub Tab
Section titled “The Hub Tab”The Hub tab is the Content Hub home screen. It has two main sections:
Add New Content — An icon grid of category quick-buttons (Sports, Events, Weather, Food, Time, News, Tasks, Social, Slideshow, Video, Documents, Presentations, Spreadsheets, Fun, Employees) lets you jump straight into creating a specific type of content. Use the Add New button to open the full New Content Source dialog listing all categories with descriptions.
Your Content Library — All your connected content sources appear here in a searchable, filterable grid. Use the “Search content…” box to find specific sources and toggle between grid and table view. Filter chips appear dynamically based on the content types you have connected — only types present in your library show as chips, so the chips you see reflect your own setup. Each content card shows the source name, type, and status. On hover, cards reveal edit, duplicate, and delete actions.
Events Tab
Section titled “Events Tab”The Events tab manages calendar content sources — any feed that produces dated, time-based entries shown on your displays.
Supported sources:
- iCal — any public or private
.icsURL
Use Events to show upcoming appointments, school schedules, store hours, or any date-driven content on your displays.
Tasks Tab
Section titled “Tasks Tab”The Tasks tab manages to-do list and checklist content sources.
Supported sources:
- Google Tasks — task lists from your Google account
Workforce Tab
Section titled “Workforce Tab”The Workforce tab manages employee schedule sources displayed in retail environments.
Supported sources:
- ZoomShift — shift schedules pulled from your ZoomShift account
Use Workforce to show today’s staffing schedule on back-of-house displays so employees always know who is on shift.
Assets Tab
Section titled “Assets Tab”The Assets tab is a unified library for all your files — images, video, documents, presentations, and spreadsheets — previously split across separate Media and Documents tabs. Use facet filter chips (All Assets, Images, Video, Documents, Presentations, Spreadsheets) to narrow the view. Upload files directly, or connect Google Workspace files via the Google Picker.
Tip: Navigating to ?tab=media or ?tab=documents automatically redirects to the Assets tab, so any saved bookmarks or links still work.
Alerts Tab
Section titled “Alerts Tab”The Alerts tab lets you broadcast emergency alerts directly to your displays. It has three sections:
- Active Alerts — Shows any currently active alerts. Displays “No active alerts” when all is clear. Active alerts show priority level, type, how many displays are affected, and a Clear button.
- Quick Presets — Color-coded one-click buttons for common scenarios: Fire (evacuation), Lockdown (active threat), Weather (severe weather), Facility (maintenance notice), and All Clear. Clicking a preset opens a confirmation dialog where you can target specific display zones and optionally mark it as a drill.
- Custom Alert — An expandable form for composing a custom alert with your own headline, message, priority level, alert type, target zones, and duration.
Warning: Sending an alert immediately interrupts displays in the targeted zones. Use the drill option when testing.
Switching Between Tabs
Section titled “Switching Between Tabs”Click any tab at the top of the Content Hub to switch categories. You can also navigate directly to a specific tab by adding a ?tab= parameter to the URL — for example, ?tab=events opens the Events tab directly. This is useful for bookmarking a frequently visited tab.
The Content Hub remembers which tab you visited last, so returning to the Content Hub takes you directly back to where you were working.
