Social Media Embeds
Social media embeds let you display live social media feeds from aggregator services on your screens. Because major social platforms (Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook, etc.) restrict direct embedding in digital signage, BrandCast works with third-party social aggregators — services that collect, moderate, and serve your social content via an embeddable widget.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”You create a feed on a social aggregator service, get an embed code from their dashboard, and paste it into BrandCast. The aggregator handles pulling content from the social platforms; BrandCast handles displaying the widget on your screens.
Adding a social media embed
Section titled “Adding a social media embed”Step 1: Set up a social aggregator
Section titled “Step 1: Set up a social aggregator”Choose and configure one of the supported aggregator services:

| Taggbox | Paid ($25/month) | — |
| Walls.io | Paid (~€99/month) | — |
| EmbedSocial | Paid ($29/month) | — |
| Custom / Other | Varies | Any service that provides an iframe or JavaScript widget |
Create an account, connect your social accounts, set up a feed, and then find the Publish or Embed option in the service’s dashboard to get your embed code.

|---|---|
| Social Media Service | Which aggregator service you’re using |
| Embed Type | iframe (simpler, more secure) or JavaScript widget (may offer more features) |
| Embed Code | The HTML embed code from your aggregator dashboard |
- Curator.io is the recommended starting point — it has a generous free tier and good content moderation tools.
- Use a wide layout zone for social embeds — most social feed widgets are designed for desktop widths.
- Curate what you display via your aggregator’s moderation settings before it reaches the screen.
- Combine social embeds with other content in a playlist rotation for variety.
Business ideas
Section titled “Business ideas”- Display your company’s latest social media posts in the store lobby.
- Show a branded social feed in waiting areas.
- Feature customer testimonials and tagged posts from social media.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Embed isn’t displaying.
Verify the embed code is complete and correct. iframe codes should start with <iframe; JavaScript widget codes should include a <script tag. Both types are supported.
Content looks cut off. The embed scales to fit the zone. Try placing the social embed in a larger zone or using a layout with more horizontal space.
Feed isn’t updating. Update frequency depends on your aggregator’s plan — free tiers typically update every 24 hours. Upgrade your aggregator plan for more frequent updates.
Embed code from Twitter/Instagram/Facebook won’t work. Direct platform embeds require JavaScript execution that is inconsistent in digital signage environments. Use a social aggregator service instead — they serve the content in a format that works reliably on display screens.
