Google Sheets Schedule

Beta: Google Sheets Schedule is currently in beta. Features and availability may change.

Use a Google Sheet as your employee schedule source. Manage your schedule in a familiar spreadsheet and BrandCast reads it for display — no dedicated scheduling software needed.

The Google Sheets Schedule appears in the unified schedule display alongside any other connected schedule sources. Each employee row shows their name, shift start and end times, and whether they’re currently on shift.

Create a Google Sheet with your employee schedule. The sheet should include columns for employee names, shift dates, start times, and end times. Use the schedule template available in the setup wizard for the correct format.

  1. Make sure your Google account is connected in Account > Integrations.
  2. Go to CreateEmployees.
  3. Select Google Sheets Schedule as a schedule source.
  4. Select the Google Sheet and specific tab.
  5. Configure display settings.
  6. Save and add to your playlist.

  • This is ideal for small teams or stores that don’t use dedicated scheduling software.
  • Update the sheet from your phone or laptop — changes appear on the display at the next refresh.
  • Use conditional formatting in Google Sheets for your own reference (it won’t affect the display).
  • Follow the template format closely — the parser expects specific column names and date formats.
  • Google Sheets Schedule works alongside other schedule sources (ZoomShift, Sling) in the unified schedule view.

Schedule data isn’t showing. Verify the sheet follows the expected format with correct column headers. Check that your Google connection is active in Account > Integrations.

Wrong tab is being read. Change the sheet tab selection in the content item settings to the correct tab.

Schedule isn’t updating after changes. Use the Refresh button to force an immediate read. By default, the sheet is re-read at the interval you set.

Date or time formats are wrong. The parser expects standard date/time formats. Use consistent formatting across the sheet (e.g., “2024-01-15” for dates, “9:00 AM” for times).
