Google Tasks
Connect your Google Tasks account to display your task lists on screens. Tasks update automatically as you check items off or add new ones in Google Tasks.
What it looks like on a display
Section titled “What it looks like on a display”Google Tasks appear in the unified Tasks display alongside any other connected task sources. Each task shows its name, due date (if set), and completion status.
How to connect Google Tasks
Section titled “How to connect Google Tasks”Step 1: Connect your Google account
Section titled “Step 1: Connect your Google account”- Go to Account > Connections.
- Click Connect next to Google.
- Sign in and grant BrandCast access to your tasks.
If you’ve already connected Google for another feature (Docs, Sheets, Slides), your tasks are available automatically — no extra sign-in needed.
Step 2: Add Google Tasks content
Section titled “Step 2: Add Google Tasks content”- Navigate to Content in the sidebar (URL:
/admin/content). - In the Tasks tab, click Add Source and choose Google Tasks.
- Select which task lists to display.
- Configure display settings and save.
To show tasks on a display, go to the Hub tab, click Add New, and select Tasks. Pick your connected Google Tasks source under Task Lists.
Tip: You can select multiple task lists from the same Google account. All selected lists appear together in the unified task display.
Settings
Section titled “Settings”When creating a Tasks content source in the Hub, the available display settings include:

- Use dedicated Google Tasks lists for display content — this lets you control exactly what appears on screen without affecting your personal lists.
- Tasks with due dates sort more usefully than tasks without. Add due dates in Google Tasks for better on-screen organization.
- Pair with Manual Tasks to mix Google Tasks with locally created items in one display.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Google Tasks not showing up. Verify your Google connection is active in Account > Connections. If the connection expired, reconnect and re-select your task lists in the Tasks tab of Content Hub.
Tasks are outdated. Use the Refresh button on the content item to force an immediate sync.
Missing task lists. Only lists you selected during setup are displayed. Edit the content item to add or remove lists.
