Assets Tab
The Assets tab is a unified library for all your uploaded and connected files — images, video, documents, presentations, and spreadsheets — in one place. It replaces the former separate Media and Documents tabs.
Facet Filters
Section titled “Facet Filters”A row of filter chips at the top lets you narrow the view by asset type:
- All Assets — shows everything in your library
- Images — uploaded photos and graphics (JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP)
- Video — uploaded video files (MP4, MOV, WebM)
- Documents — Google Docs files
- Presentations — Google Slides files
- Spreadsheets — Google Sheets files
Click a chip to filter; click All Assets to reset.
Collections
Section titled “Collections”The left sidebar shows Collections — a tag-based view of your library, not a separate folder you create. Every asset tag in your account becomes a row here automatically, with a live count of how many assets carry it; there’s no separate step to create a collection beyond tagging an asset (see Add tags under Bulk Operations below, or apply a tag from an asset’s inspection panel).
An All Media row always sits at the top, showing your total item count; clicking it clears the collection filter. Clicking a tag row selects just that tag (clicking the same tag again clears it back to “All Media”); Cmd/Ctrl+click a tag to add it to the selection instead of replacing it, so you can browse the union of several tags at once. While tags are loading, the sidebar shows placeholder skeleton rows. On narrower screens the sidebar becomes a horizontally scrollable chip bar with the same behavior.
Collections filter separately from the type chips above — selecting a collection and a Facet Filter type narrows the grid to assets matching both at once.
Adding Assets
Section titled “Adding Assets”Use the Add button or drag files directly onto the page. To connect Google Workspace files (Docs, Slides, Sheets), the Add menu opens the Google Picker to select files from your Drive.
Additional import options are available via the actions menu:
- Google Photos — sync an album so new photos appear automatically
- Canva — import designs from Canva
- Apple Photos — import from your Apple Photos library
Browsing and Searching
Section titled “Browsing and Searching”Toggle between grid and table view using the view controls. A search bar lets you filter by file name. The Twig AI panel (the sparkle icon) accepts natural language queries to find and organize files — for example, “find all backgrounds” or “show recently added.”
Inspecting an Asset
Section titled “Inspecting an Asset”Click any asset to open the inspection panel on the right side. The panel shows a full preview, file metadata (dimensions, file size, upload date), and any tags applied to the file. From here you can rename the file, edit tags, or view where the asset is currently used in layouts.
Bulk Operations
Section titled “Bulk Operations”Select multiple assets using the checkboxes that appear on hover. A batch action bar appears at the top of the grid with options to:
- Delete — permanently remove selected files
- Add tags — apply tags to the entire selection at once
- Remove tags — strip tags from the entire selection
- Scan for duplicates — identify files with identical content
Storage Usage
Section titled “Storage Usage”A storage indicator shows total item count and how much storage is in use relative to your plan limit.
Tip: Google Workspace files (Docs, Slides, Sheets) sync automatically — changes you make in Google appear on your displays within the next refresh interval. You do not need to re-import the file.
