Slideshows
Slideshows are one of the most versatile content types — they rotate through images and video clips automatically, keeping your display fresh without any ongoing work.
Creating a slideshow
Section titled “Creating a slideshow”- Go to Content (the Content Hub) and click Add New.
- Select Slideshow.
- Give your slideshow a name.
- Click Add Items to select images and video clips from your media library.
- Set image duration, then click Create.
Adding media
Section titled “Adding media”Slideshow items are chosen from your media library using the Add Items picker. Upload your images and videos to the Media tab first, then add them to the slideshow here.
Images and videos can be mixed freely in the same slideshow. Each item plays in order, then the slideshow loops.
Tip: To use Google Photos or Canva assets in a slideshow, import them into your media library first via Content > Media > Add, then select them with Add Items.
Tip: For best quality, use images that match your display resolution — typically 1920×1080 for a landscape screen.
Timing

Videos play for their full clip length. Images show for the duration you set, then cross-fade to the next item.
Supported formats

Videos: MP4 (H.264), WebM — video clips stream directly, so playback starts right away
- Short video clips (5–30 seconds) work especially well in slideshows — they add motion without dominating the rotation.
- Reorder slides by dragging them. Remove any that feel out of place.
- For retail displays, keep your promotional images at the front of the rotation so they’re seen most often.
- Create multiple slideshows for different purposes (e.g., “Morning Promotions,” “Holiday Season”) and switch between them using schedules.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Images not appearing. Check that the file format is supported and the file isn’t corrupted. Try opening the image locally to verify it’s valid.
Slideshow playing too fast or too slow. Adjust the image duration in the settings.
Poor image quality on screen. Use higher-resolution source images. Avoid stretching small images to fill large display areas.
Video clip not playing. Confirm the clip finished uploading and processing. The content item should show a “Ready” status before it can play.
