Add some humor to your displays with rotating family-friendly jokes. Jokes change automatically and support both one-liners and two-part setup/punchline formats.
What it looks like on a display
Section titled “What it looks like on a display”A joke appears centered on screen. Two-part jokes show the setup first, then reveal the punchline. The display cycles through jokes automatically at the interval you set.
Adding jokes to your display
Section titled “Adding jokes to your display”- Navigate to Content in the sidebar (URL:
/admin/content). - In the Hub tab, click Add New.
- Under the Fun category, select Jokes.
- Configure refresh rate and optional category filter.
- Save and add to your playlist.
No account or external service needed — jokes are served from BrandCast’s built-in library.
Settings
Section titled “Settings”| Setting | Description |

| Refresh rate | How often a new joke appears (60 seconds to 1 hour, default 5 minutes) |
| Category | Optional filter (e.g., puns, knock-knock). Leave blank for all categories |
- Set a 5–10 minute refresh rate for break rooms so people see a new joke each time they look.
- Jokes work great as filler content between more serious items in a playlist rotation.
- Pair jokes with quotes in alternating playlist items for a mix of humor and inspiration.
- All jokes are family-friendly by default — safe for any audience.
Business ideas
Section titled “Business ideas”- Add a joke display to the break room for a lighter atmosphere.
- Use jokes on lobby screens while customers wait.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Same joke keeps repeating. Jokes are selected randomly from the library. With a large library, repeats are rare. If you notice frequent repeats, try changing the category filter.
No joke appearing. The jokes service may be temporarily unavailable. BrandCast shows a fallback joke when this happens. If the issue persists, refresh the content item from your library.
