Events Tab

The Events tab is where you connect calendar feed sources and manage the tags used to organize event content on your displays.

The Sources section lists all connected calendar feeds with a count badge showing how many are configured. Click Add Source to connect a new calendar.

BrandCast supports iCal feeds from any calendar application that publishes an .ics URL — including Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Calendar, and most other calendar apps. The empty state message reads: “Add iCal feeds from Google Calendar, Outlook, or any calendar app.”

To add a source, click Add Source, paste the iCal feed URL, and give it a name. Once connected, BrandCast syncs events automatically.

The Tags section below Sources lets you create and manage tags. Click Add Tag to create a new tag.

Tags attach to individual events, not to sources — assign them from the Events list below (see The Events list) to control which events appear on specific displays or layouts, for example showing only “Store Hours” events on lobby screens while showing the full schedule in break rooms. Each event source also automatically gets its own system tag, applied to every event it syncs, so you can filter a display by source without tagging events by hand.

The Events section lists every event — synced and manually added — with a count badge. Click Add Event to create one by hand.

A filter row above the list lets you: switch between table and calendar view, filter by a From / To date range, filter by one or more tags (Filter by Tags), search by keyword, and refresh the list.

In table view, each row shows the event’s date (and “All day” or its recurrence start, when applicable), title, source, tags, and actions to Promote with Twig, Edit, or Archive it. Selecting rows surfaces a bulk toolbar to add or remove tags across the selection. If nothing matches, the list shows No matching events when a search is active, or No events yet otherwise.

See Managing events and event sources for the full walkthrough, including the manual-event field list and the display config’s view/filter options.

To put event content on a display, go to Content > Add New > Events. This opens an Add Events dialog with an Event Source dropdown listing the sources you’ve already connected here. Select a source, configure the view options, and finish the wizard.

Connect as many calendar sources as you need. Each source can be edited or deleted from its card in the Sources list.
