Display analytics

BrandCast Analytics shows you how your displays and content are performing. Use it to see which screens are active, what’s been playing, and whether your content is reaching your audience.

Navigate to Analytics in the sidebar. If you don’t see the Analytics menu item, check with your account Admin — access is available to all roles.

The analytics dashboard is organized into tabs:

Zone Scorecard — A summary of all your display zones, showing how many are active, their content health, and any screens that are offline or showing stale content.

Zone Detail — Drill into a specific zone to see which displays are in it, what content has been playing, and how long each piece ran.

Proof-of-Play — A report showing when specific content items ran, on which displays, and for how long. Use this to verify that scheduled content actually played as intended.

Zones are how BrandCast groups your displays for reporting. Every display is assigned one of five zone types — Welcome, Discovery, Spotlight, Engage, or Internal — reflecting its role and typical audience dwell time (see Zone Management).

Analytics are zone-first — you start with a bird’s-eye view of all zones, then drill down to individual displays within a zone.

Proof-of-play shows a timestamped record of content playback. For each entry you can see:

  • Which content item played
  • Which display it played on
  • When it started and how long it ran

This is useful for:

  • Verifying promotional content ran during a sale
  • Confirming compliance with scheduled rotations
  • Reviewing content history for a specific display
  1. Open the Proof-of-Play tab
  2. Set the date range
  3. Optionally filter by display or zone
  4. Click Generate report to run the report
  • Check zone health regularly to catch offline displays early. A display that goes offline for hours may mean customers or staff are missing your content.
  • Use proof-of-play reports after a major promotion or event to confirm everything ran as scheduled.
  • If a zone shows lower-than-expected uptime, check the displays in that zone for network or hardware issues.

Analytics shows no data. Data begins collecting when displays are online and playing content. If your displays were just set up, allow 24 hours for data to populate.

A display is not appearing in the zone scorecard. Verify the display is assigned to a zone in its settings. Displays without a zone assignment may not appear in zone-level reports.
