Content flows

Content Flows gives you a bird’s-eye view of how your screens, Designs, and zones connect to each other. Instead of managing each screen individually, you can see all your content relationships in one place, spot gaps, and understand what each screen is showing and when.

A content flow is the path that content takes from source to screen:

  • A Design (a set of Pages that plays in sequence) is scheduled on a screen via that screen’s week calendar
  • Each screen has exactly one schedule, edited directly in its detail panel

Content Flows makes these connections visible in a single view.

Open the Content Flows view (it’s a dedicated page for complex relationships and bulk work, separate from the day-to-day Displays page). At the top you’ll find three tabs:

  • Relationship Graph — a visual map showing how displays, Designs, and Pages are connected
  • Timeline Scheduler — a calendar view of your schedule rules across displays
  • Bulk Operations — tools for making changes to multiple displays at once

The relationship graph shows your Displays, Designs, and Pages as connected nodes. Use it to:

  • Quickly see which Design each screen is currently running
  • Find screens that don’t have any Design scheduled (they’ll appear disconnected)
  • Identify Designs playing on many screens (updating the Design affects all of them)

Click any node in the graph to see its details and navigate to its settings.

The timeline scheduler shows a calendar view of when Design blocks are active across all screens. Use it to:

  • See your full content schedule at a glance
  • Spot gaps where no Design is scheduled (screens hold on the last frame played)
  • Check that Design blocks don’t accidentally overlap on the same day column

Bulk operations let you apply changes to multiple screens at once instead of editing each one individually.

Assigning a Design to multiple screens:

  1. Go to Content FlowsBulk Operations.
  2. Select the screens you want to update.
  3. Choose Assign Design and select the Design.
  4. Apply the change — all selected screens update immediately.

This is especially useful when:

  • Setting up a new promotion that needs to go on many screens at once
  • Replacing a Design that’s used across multiple locations
  • Running a seasonal campaign across a zone
  • Use the relationship graph at the start of any major content change to understand what’s connected before you make edits.
  • When you update a Design that’s shared by multiple screens, all those screens update together. This is a feature — but be aware of the scope before making changes.
  • Use the timeline view before a holiday campaign to verify the schedule coverage. Look for any gaps where your promotional Design won’t be active.
  • Screens without any Design scheduled appear clearly disconnected in the graph. Use this to quickly find any screens that need content assigned.

My changes in bulk operations aren’t showing up. Allow up to 60 seconds for screens to receive and apply updates. If changes still aren’t reflected, refresh the Content Flows view and check the screen’s status — offline screens won’t apply changes until they reconnect.

The relationship graph looks too complex to read. Use the filters at the top of the graph to show only certain screens, locations, or Designs. You can also zoom in on sections of the graph by scrolling.

I can’t find a screen in the graph. Screens that have never had a Design scheduled may appear in a separate “unassigned” section. Check the full list view to find all your screens regardless of their connection status.
